Eric's Mom, Grandma, and Me (the one with brown hair)
I am the oldest of 5 kids with 3 brothers and a sister under me. I remember my mom and dad loving each other growing up and rarely ever fighting. I was adopted at 2-years- old by my uncle and aunt and lived with them from that time on in my life. So as I am talking about my family this is with whom I am referring to. Growing up until I was about 12 I and brothers got along rarely did we fight. Once I enter middle school there was more sibling rivalry. However if we disagreed on something we usually went our separate ways and left each other alone. I was a very sensitive child growing up and all my parent really ever had to do was look at me and I would start crying and spill the beans however my parents did spank me a few times when it involved my safety. I feel as if my parents did a good job with the discipline they gave me. Some parts of their discipline I plan to use however I also would like to incorporate some areas in which while in a safe environment still they can experience natural consequences. I grew up in three towns basically Muskogee Oklahoma where I lived till I was in 2nd grade, Amarillo Texas where I lived till I entered 9th grade, and Colleyville where I graduated from Grapevine High School. I always enjoyed pushing myself to the limits in school and took honors classes in High School of which I am very proud. I really enjoyed choir and Spanish while I disliked gym. I was often made fun of in middle school and high school however I felt like I just wanted to show them that I could ignore them and be better for it. I am a Christian and have been ever since I can remember I have always felt security in Jesus when I am scared. My religion is my life and I hope to raise my child with the same desire for God as I have. I graduated from Grapevine High School in 1996 with honors and the went to tarrant county college in the fall of 1996 after that I transferred to Dallas Christian College in 1997 where I went for a semester for education. I think it is important to go to school and learn and expand your knowledge of the world. However I also want my child to not only be book smart but educated about those around them.
